East London office space Second Home bags £7.5m to support expansion

"Iconic" workspace founded by former No. 10 advisor Rohan Silva plans to use growth capital to open up its first overseas premises

Second Home, the co-work space based near London’s Brick Lane, has secured £7.5m investment from Index Ventures alongside top-name investors including Yuri Milner and Martin Lau.

Founded by Rohan Silva – former technology advisor to David Cameron – in 2014, Second Home claims to offer an “iconic” workspace for entrepreneurs and creative businesses and is home to a number of fast-growth start-ups such as Foursquare, Artsy and TaskRabbit.

It intends to use the funding to expand its current premises and accelerate its plans to launch in Lisbon later this year.
