Entrepreneur takes up “ready-made business” opportunity with Signs Express

Telford re-sale venture will enable new recruit Martin Geddes-Smith to benefit from an already-established set-up, team and customer base

Signage and graphics brand Signs Express has welcomed a new franchisee to its chain with the addition of Martin Geddes-Smith, who joins as the owner of the chain’s Telford centre following a re-sale opportunity.

Said to be “taking advantage of the prosperous franchise”, by buying an existing centre Geddes-Smith benefits from a “ready-made business” with full set-up, staff, customer base and sales already in place.

Created in 1989 with over 62 franchises across the UK, Signs Express claims it is the UK’s largest signage company with “strong brand recognition across the nation”.

With a focus on attracting “motivated individuals that ideally have some management experience and sales or commercial background”, franchise packages are available for £45,000 + working capital.

Geddes Smith, who has worked in the automotive industry and real estate, believes that his new franchise venture offers up scope for growth:

“I was thrilled when the opportunity to buy Signs Express (Telford) became available. Established since the early 90’s, the centre has a solid customer base and excellent reputation, so I was very interested in taking on the opportunity. I’m looking forward to continue delivering top quality products and am excited for the future.”
