Entrepreneurs are being encouraged to attend a free micro-pitching and networking event in London tomorrow to celebrate International Women’s day.

The event will be hosted by Yasmina Siadatan, winner of the fifth series of BBC’s The Apprentice, and chair of IoD 99, Alex Mitchell, and intends to “celebrate female founders and support more women to go into the start-up journey”.

Organised by IoD 99 and Causarma, with backing from UN Women, the event takes place on March 8 and will run from 6pm to 9pm at the London Institute of Directors near St. James’s Park.

Running annually since 1914, International Women’s Day recognises the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women and also calls for greater gender equality.

Attendance to the event is free but attendees are required to book in advance especially if they are bringing a guest. You can find more information on the event here.
