Entrepreneurs offered mentoring from Peter Jones at MADE

Twitter competition to select festival delegate for an audience with the Dragon

Entrepreneurs attending MADE Festival may have their own “rock star” experience, by meeting Dragons’ Den legend Peter Jones. An exclusive Twitter competition is challenging entrepreneurs to catch the Dragon’s eye, by tweeting their burning business question with the hashtag #MeetDragonJones. Serial entrepreneur and CBE Jones will reveal his favourite question on stage at MADE next month – before sweeping the winner off for a one-to-one mentoring session. It has not yet been revealed whether the session will take place in the MADE Chopper, a custom helicopter revealed in June as a unique edition to the festival for 2012. At the Global Entrepreneurship Congress, hosted in Liverpool in March, 42 fledgling entrepreneurs shared a capsule of the city’s ferris wheel with their business icons – using the wheel’s revolution as an opportunity to gain some intensive business advice. There has been discussion of the Chopper being put to similar use. Jones will share the stage at MADE 2012 with more than 25 high profile speakers, including Kanya King MBE (founder of the MOBO’s), business secretary Vince Cable and Lord Bilmoria (founder of Cobra beer). Michael Hayman, chairman of MADE, said of the competition: “Of all the compelling reasons to come to MADE this year, this may be the best yet. “At MADE we want to inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs and the opportunity to learn from someone like Peter Jones is a golden ticket to future success.” MADE: The Entrepreneur Festival will take place in Sheffield from Wednesday 19 to Sunday 22 September.
