Entry deadline extended for the 2016 Startups Awards

The UK’s most exciting and promising start-ups will now have until 23 September to enter the 13th annual Startups Awards…

The UK’s most promising new businesses will now have extra time to enter the 13th annual Startups Awards, with the deadline extended to 12pm on Friday 23 September.

Many of the companies crowned as winners in the awards’ 13-year history have gone on to become household names including Naked Wines, Secret Escapes and Gousto.

There are 15 different categories to enter this year, giving start-ups plenty of chances to receive recognition and validation from the awards’ prestigious panel of judges that includes Cath Kidston MBE and Dragons’ Den’s Nick Jenkins.

Categories include: Crowdfunded Business of the Year, Franchisee of the Year and the coveted overall prize of Sage Startups Business of the Year.

The judges will also select a long list of 50 businesses to be eligible for the Startups’ Awards’ People’s Champion title, voted for by Startups.co.uk readers and your peers.

To be eligible to enter your business must be independently owned, UK-based and have started trading on, or after, 1 August 2012.

The winners will be revealed during a special awards ceremony at The Royal Garden Hotel on Thursday 17 November 2016.
