eve Sleep clinches £13.9m Series B to fulfil global “dreams”
Startups 100-featured mattress company preparing to expand into Switzerland, Italy, Poland, Austria and the Netherlands with new funding
eve Sleep, the e-commerce mattress company, has landed £13.9m in Series B funding, taking total investment into the company to £17m.
Founded in January 2015, Startups 100-featured eve Sleep is the developer of “the world’s most comfortable mattress” – an affordable foam and latex product that is delivered direct to customers’ doors within “three sleeps”.
eve previously closed a £6.9m Series B in July, which it used to launch a television advertising campaign on Channel 4. This latest finance will enable the company to expand into Switzerland, Italy, Poland, Austria and the Netherlands for the first time.
As well as the introduction of a new mattress, eve has teased that the investment will fuel the development of a host of new products “designed to make your life that little bit easier”.
In September, the mattress company partnered with Debenhams to launch its ‘Nap Pods’ in the retailers Oxford Street store. The pods allow consumers to trial eve mattresses before they commit to buying one.
