Ex-social worker leaves day job to become SureCare franchisee

Sami Haider has opened a domestic care franchise in Southend and says his business "will give people the best quality of life for longer"

A former social worker has left his job to pursue a career in franchising and is now operating as a franchisee for UK care and home services provider SureCare.

Sami Haider, who previously worked as service manager for an adult social care team, opened his new franchise in the Essex seaside town of Southend on April 20 and has a team of 26 staff to assist him.

Haider is confident that he will grow the business and has already outlined plans to hire additional staff from the local area over the next 12 to 18 months.

Started in 1994, SureCare offers a range of care services from holiday and respite care and Alzheimer’s care to mobile crèche and babysitting. It also supplies home services such as gardening, DIY, decorating, cleaning and cooking.

The chain has franchise opportunities available from £8,995 to £32,000 and promises that “no other care company offers the breadth of services that we do”.

On his decision to become a franchisee, Haider commented:

“I’m delighted to have opened a SureCare franchise in Southend. I pride myself on running a business that gives people the best quality of life for longer and helps them stay in their homes with the right support they need.”
