Facebook launches “first ever” UK small business council

Startups Awards nominated Bloom & Wild and Borrow My Doggy join council to discuss small business challenges and how they can use Facebook to grow

Facebook has announced the launch of its first ever UK small business council as part of its ongoing commitment to support small businesses.

Launched this week, the inaugural event brought together 14 luminaries from the UK enterprise scene to discuss the challenges they faced in starting up and scaling.

The council will meet bi-anually to discuss solutions to these challenges and how small businesses to connect with consumers and grow their companies.

Startups Awards nominated flower subscription service Bloom & Wild is amongst the members of the new council, as well as Borrow My Doggy, a platform that connects dog owners with dog lovers.

This Mum Runs, a women’s running community; and Mark’s Mobile Butchers, a Bristol-based butcher aiming to plug the gap left by the decline of traditional markets, have also joined.
