Fashion start-ups offered mentoring through new competition
ASOS and Fashion Angel unite to support e-commerce entrepreneurs
Fashion-focused entrepreneurs are being offered the chance to boost their business with a bespoke mentoring programme.
Fashion Angel, a mentoring and networking service which provides funding to entrepreneurs working in the fashion industry, will receive sponsorship from ASOS Marketplace to nurture its most promising vendors.
Announcing a new competition today, the partners invited fashion designers who sell their wares on ASOS’s online marketplace to apply.
Accessory designers and vintage collectors who use ASOS Marketplace are also eligible, but all applicants must be in their first two years of business.
The competition will be promoted at Fashion Angel’s next networking talk, entitled ‘Social Media Success’, on May 2.
Entries will then be judged by the organisation’s director Alison Lewy and Katie Oldham, ASOS’ business development director, before a winner is revealed on May 30.
They will win a place on Fashion Angel’s £1,500 business start-up mentoring programme for fashion entrepreneurs, which offers legal, financial and marketing advice and lasts six months.
