Father and son team take over as new owners of Driver hire Swansea

John and Richard Bevan buy transport and logistics recruitment franchise site

Transport and logistics recruitment franchise Driver Hire has taken on father and son business partners John and Richard Bevan as its latest franchisees.

The pair are set to run the Swansea site, where they will be responsible for providing drivers and other logistics staff to short-staffed public and private organisations.

A former teacher of business and management studies, John Bevan was forced into early retirement after he was involved in a car accident. He is now hoping to use his business experience to support the growth of his new venture.

Operating a network of 100 franchise offices across the UK, Driver Hire sells franchise sites for a starting price of £30,000. With the average Driver hire franchisee turning over in excess of £600,000, new franchisee John Bevan is optimistic about his enterprise. He commented: “I was looking for a business I could run with my son Richard, something that was future proof with plenty of opportunities for growth. Driver Hire ticked all the boxes. “There’s lots of potential in terms of both the market and the business itself. In common with much of the UK, the area has suffered over the past few years, but I’m seeing some green shoots of recovery. “And I’m planning to prove that Driver Hire is about much more than just driving, by growing and developing the business in new areas of recruitment.”
