Entrepreneurial father-and-son duo open Leeds care franchise

Having launched in North Leeds this week, care services franchise SureCare has more opportunities for budding entrepreneurs to join as franchisees

Father-and-son Manjinder and Karun Heer are celebrating becoming SureCare franchisees after opening a North Leeds branch which aims to provide “customer-centred” care services and bring fresh jobs to the area.

The new franchise, which was opened this week by Leeds mayor Gerry Harper, is expected to offer care for the elderly, childcare, mobile crèches, staffing solutions for care homes and more.

Young entrepreneur Karun, 21, has taken the role of business development and marketing manager while Manjinder brings a wealth of experience, having previously run a retail business.

The duo already have plans to roll out into the Harrogate area and intend to recruit more staff over the next 12 months.

Established in 1994, SureCare provides personal care and support through its nationwide network of carers. The chain offers opportunities for aspiring care services entrepreneurs to join as franchisees.

Karun Heer said: “My father and I […] come from a very family orientated background which is what makes our care offering that extra bit special.

“As a business, we pride ourselves on our high standards of care and in our charity work to engage with the local community. We recently helped to raise £4,000 for Marie Curie at a charity dinner dance.”
