Finance entrepreneur Deepak Kuntawala wins at TiE Awards

Deputy prime minister Nick Clegg presents Global Entrepreneur of the Year title to the founder of international trading firm DVK

Deepak Kuntawala, founder of international trading and finance company DVK has been named the Global Entrepreneur of the Year at The Indus Entrepreneur (TiE) Awards.

Recognised for growing DVK into an international brand, with trade in countries including Russia, China and Africa, Kuntawala accepted the award from deputy prime minister Nick Clegg.

Designed to celebrate the best entrepreneurs from the Indus region, the ceremony marked the second annual awards from TiE and was attended by a number of public figures, including former BBC Dragon James Caan and pop star and New York Coffee Club founder Peter Andre.

Set to launch an office in Saudi Arabia, which will be chaired by the Prince of Saudi himself, DVK offers finance to small and medium businesses and corporates, to support their international expansion, as well as supplying imported goods to major department stores.
