Food and drink start-ups encouraged to enter Foodpreneur 2017 as all-star judges revealed

Levi Roots, Paul Lindley, Jimmy Cregan and ‘Clean Eating Alice’ have joined hunt to help Richard Branson find the UK’s most exciting new food and drink brands. Could it be you?

Are you running an innovative food and drink start-up? Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin StartUp and shopping giant intu are calling on the UK’s most exciting food and drink businesses to enter the Foodpreneur 2017 competition, with applications closing on 17 May.

The competition’s  judging panel has been revealed today with Levi Roots, founder of the eponymous Dragons’ Den success story and Ella’s Kitchen founder Paul Lindley among the line-up.

Completing the panel are Instagram influencer and food author Alice Living, popularly known as Clean Eating Alice, and Jimmy Cregan, founder of Jimmy’s Iced Coffee, with the four set to joinBranson on his hunt to identify emerging  foodand drink brands with growth potential.

With previous winners i including Pip & Nut, Cauli Rice and Harry Brompton’s Iced Tea, this year the competition will award eight semi-finalists with a one weekpop-up at an intu shopping centre, while the winner will receive six weeks’s retail space, alongiside support and guidance.
