UK B2B software firms to benefit from new growth capital investment firm Oxx

London and Stockholm-based firm will focus on investing in businesses with “serious commercial traction” across the UK, the Nordic countries and Israel

Richard Anton and Mikael Johnsson, former partners at Amadeus Capital, have announced the launch of a new growth capital investment firm that will focus on investing in business-to-business (B2B) scale-up software companies.

Targeting businesses with “serious commercial traction” operating in the UK, the Nordic countries and Israel, London and Stockholm-based Oxx will be raising funds over the coming months and years.

Anton had been with London-based technology investor Amadeus for 18 years and a partner for 16, while Johnsson acted as an advisor and venture partner to the firm.

Oxx will continue to advise Amadeus in relation to portfolio companies that remain in the investor’s funds.

Anton commented: “We invest in really good businesses that with our support and partnership can become great.

“There is a clear gap in this market and we are confident that our combined experience, deep rooted knowledge of the sector and already-successful model will prove a winning formula. We created Oxx to take companies from promise to success.”

Johnsson added: “We also have a shared belief in putting the entrepreneurs we back first, and in a commitment to a philosophy of collaboration and teamwork. We are ready to go from day one, with our existing companies, strong institutional backing and excellent investment pipeline.”
