Forward Investment Partners announces Nic Brisbourne will be joining the firm

Industry expert and ex-DFJ Esprit partner to lead the venture capital fund started by Young Gun Neil Hutchinson

The venture capital fund, Forward Investment Partners, part of the Forward Internet Group founded by Young Gun Neil Hutchinson, has announced that high-profile venture capitalist Nic Brisbourne will be joining the company on June 24.

The London-based fund which specialises in supporting entrepreneurs with seed capital in order to maximise growth, claims it will implement Brisbourne’s expertise in leadership roles for both Forward Investment Partners and start-up incubator, Forward Labs.

Former partner of DFJ Esprit for seven years, Brisbourne has worked in the venture capital industry for 13 years and has led over 25 major investments including Buy.at, acquired by AOL for $125m, and Zeus Technology, acquired by Riverbed for $140m as well as Conversocial and StrikeAd.

He is also the author of the popular venture capital blog, The Equity Kicker.

Claiming to finance start-ups without the involvement of shareholders or partners, the announcement follows the fund’s recent investments in Hailo, Zopa, Appear Here, Hubbub and BlikBook.
