Sharing their knowledge and experience of the digital market, the leading business owners will look to help and inspire start-ups looking to build their own “online empires”.

Nick Robertson OBE, co-founder and CEO of fashion marketplace ASOS, Nick Jenkins of Moonpig and Kathryn Parsons, founder and CEO of code education site Decoded will be speaking at the event on Tuesday 25 February.

Isabel Oswell, head of business audiences at the British Library, commented:

“The growth in internet adoption, has not only opened up a world of new opportunities for creating purely online businesses, but it has also enabled many growing businesses to rapidly expand their market online and to break into new markets, both at home and abroad.

“We’re thrilled that this fantastic panel of ‘internet icons’ has agreed to offer their expertise to our own audience of budding entrepreneurs and growing businesses.”

The ‘Internet Icons’ event will be live broadcast from London to audiences in six city libraries, and will be available to watch for free online.
