Four new franchisees join Mac Tools

The mobile tool distributor has continued its network expansion, with its latest recruits operating in Richmond, York, Bath and West Leeds

Global tool franchise Mac Tools has welcomed new franchisees Steve Reid, Mike Roberts, Saran Bagga and Rob Gell to its chain to run mobile branches throughout their respective areas of Bath, West Leeds, Richmond and York.

The new franchisees come from a variety of backgrounds, including sales, construction and mechanics, but have decided to join the franchise as it “offers flexibility” and the opportunity to be their “own boss”.

A division of US trade equipment company Stanley Black & Decker, Mac Tools claims to have witnessed 20% year-on-year growth and has been rapidly increasing its franchise network in the UK in order to maintain this growth rate.

The tool distributor has more franchise packages available, starting at an average cost of £50,000 (liquid capital £3,750) which includes marketing and business training, initial stock costs and on-going support.

New Mac Tools franchisee, Gell, discussed his reasons for the joining the chain:

“I reached a time in my life where I really wanted a change of direction. I knew I wanted to work for myself and Mac Tools has given me the motivation I need to make a success of my business. I’m also developing new skills that I can apply to other areas of my life as well as my work.”

“I’m looking forward to getting out on the road, meeting everyone in the garages and providing a good product and service to them all.”
