FPB backs new riot support website

Donations, advice and free services available via riotrescue.com

The Forum of Private Business has voiced its support for a new website offering donations and assistance to businesses affected by the recent riots.

Riotrescue.com offers a match-making service to small businesses damaged during the rioting, bringing companies requiring help together with those able to provide it.

The site has already been inundated with listings, offering everything from free consulting and storage space to designer clothes and goat’s milk.

Advice is also offered on a range of issues, primarily concerning insurance, accountancy and the  government support available. Speaking about the new resource, FPB spokesperson Phil McCabe said: “One impressive thing that’s come out of all this is the way that small businesses have banded together to get fellow business owners back on their feet.

“There’s a sense of community amongst small business owners in their attempts to do something very positive, and the new site reflects this.”
