Franchising opportunities showcased at new event

February’s National Franchise Exhibition to be held in Birmingham

Budding entrepreneurs are being encouraged to attend a national event showcasing franchising opportunities.

The National Franchise Exhibition has added a second event to its calendar after the success of its annual October exhibition.

The new event will be held on 24 and 25 February 2012 and feature franchising openings across a wide variety of sectors – from computing to food and drink.

All exhibitors have to meet the code of ethics laid out by the British Franchise Association (BFA) – which is supporting the event – ensuring visitors are only presented with legitimate business models.

The event, which will take place at the NEC in Birmingham, will also include seminars from industry experts, legal and financial advice and panel discussions.

Furthermore, The Franchisee Panel will provide inspiring advice and anecdotes based on the experience of real entrepreneurs who have successfully set up franchise businesses.

Tom Endean, marketing manager at the bfa, said: “Franchising has shown its strength over recent years, having weathered the economic storm better than most business types. The ability to take on a business that has already been proven, with ongoing support and training is an attractive option to many.

“The key however is ensuring that you take the right steps beforehand to ensure you know what you will be committing to. This is why we work so closely with this show – to help the many visitors be confident about the businesses they are talking to – an approach not taken by all shows.

“We very much look forward to seeing the prospective business owners at the show and helping guide them toward possible new futures.”
