FundingStore joins with 2012 Startups 100 company to increase start-up lending

New partnership with Funding Circle to ‘shake up’ small business loans and investment

Business funding platform FundingStore has announced that peer-to-peer lending company Funding Circle, listed in the 2012 Startups 100, has signed up with its service to increase the finance options available to start-ups and entrepreneurs on its site.

Founded in 2011 by Nick Montague, FundingStore provides an online searchable funding platform which seeks to help small and medium-sized businesses find relevant funding options, including bank loans, angel investors, challenger banks and asset finance.

It says its new relationship with lending marketplace Funding Circle will boost the scale of lending and investment to start-ups in the UK, strengthening FundingStore’s position as the most ‘comprehensive’ small and medium business funding matchmaker in the country.

The announcement sees Funding Circle join a series of major companies that have recently signed with the platform including Lloyds TSB and Aldermore.

CEO Montague commented on the announcement:

“The addition of Funding Circle and other household names means that we are now able to offer a truly comprehensive perspective covering all the options small and medium-sized enterprises should consider.

“I have no doubt that FundingStore will play a key part in increasing the scale of small and medium-sized business lending and investment in the UK.”
