GameAnalytics closes $5.5m Series A round, appoints former AOL MD as CEO
Investment takes total funding to $8m following earlier backing from Huffington Post CEO Jimmy Maymann and Maker Studio president René Rechmann
London start-up GameAnalytics has announced a $5.5m Series A round led by a group of high-profile investors to support the growth of its analytics dashboard.
As part of the deal, former AOL managing director Luke Aviet is to join the company board as chief executive officer.
GamesAnalytics allows games developers to collect insights on their user base in order to improve their games; an offering which has appealed to thousands of games studios in the industry including Pop Cap, Mind Candy and ZeptoLab.
The Series A round takes it total funding to date to $8m following an earlier seed round backed by CrunchFund and Sunstone Capital alongside Huffington Post CEO Jimmy Maymann and Maker Studio president René Rechmann.
