Gateway 3D secures £250,000 equity investment from North West Fund for Digital and Creative
3D product technology service opens new head office following latest funding
Derbyshire-based 3D technology developer Gateway 3D has received £250,000 in an equity deal with the North West Fund for Digital and Creative.
Launched in December 2010 under the European Commission’s Joint European Resources for Micro to Medium Enterprises Initiative (JEREMIE) to support small and medium-sized companies based in the north west, the £155m North West Fund is divided into six sub-divisions.
Gateway 3D’s investment, which comes from the £15m Digital and Creative arm of the fund, managed by AXM Venture Capital, is set to help the firm as it looks to grow its staff base.
As part of the deal Gateway 3D, which develops promotional virtual 3D technology for firms including Pets At Home, has opened a new head office in Macclesfield.
The company, founded by Andrew Talbot and Rob Bickerton, is also hoping to further develop its technology, which so far consists of 3D solutions across a range of platforms, including websites and mobile apps.
