Home care franchise Right at Home secures bfa membership

Accreditation comes on the back of recent win at the 2014 bfa awards

Domiciliary care chain Right at Home has announced that it has become a full member of the British Franchise Association (Bfa) after successfully demonstrating that its franchise operation is “proven, protected, ethical, sustainable, and free of ambiguity”.

The accreditation from the industry trade body is set to ramp up the franchise’s growth and builds on its recent success at the 2014 annual bfa awards where it won the title of “Best Emerging Franchisor”.

Founded in 1995, Right at Home offers care and companionship to the elderly and adults with physical disabilities in the “comfort of their own home” and has over 400 franchise sites worldwide, with a network of almost 30 franchisees in the UK.

Franchise packages are available for an initial fee of £29, 995 +VAT, with total investment typically ranging from £80,000 to £100,00, which includes ongoing training and support.

Right at Home UK managing director, Ken Dreary, said of the news: “Joining a franchise is one of the biggest decisions an investor [franchisee] will make in their lives, not only in financial terms, but also in terms of time and commitment.

“Franchising allows people to start an entirely new life, realising new lifestyles and ambitions, but only when done well. Therefore, making the right choice at the very start about which franchise to join is vital.

“By becoming full members it will hopefully give any prospective investors confidence that we are open and transparent in what we say – if you work hard, are committed, and buy-in fully to what we are trying to achieve, you will be successful.”
