Home services firm Homeshift secures additional Seedcamp funding

London-based company creating online hub to streamline the home moving process

London-based home services company Homeshift has been granted an undisclosed amount of funding from existing investor Seedcamp, alongside new investors Bluewire Capital, Impulse and the London Co-Investment Fund.

Homeshift’s tool helps home buyers, renters and estate agents manage the process of buying or renting by tracking insurance, utilities and home services for free on one integrated platform.

Users are enabled to arrange their move, update businesses with their new address and share moving announcements with friends and relatives.

While currently consumers can only access the tool via participating estate agents, the funding will facilitate the development of the online hub, which is slated to be available later in the new year.

Kenny Alegbe, co-founder, commented: “This funding will help us extend our service so that we are not only helping people to move, but we’ll also be helping consumers manage their home services from one place.

“We plan to be Europe’s first home as a service and we’re pleased to have secured further funding from great venture investors and industry Angels.”

Sheraz Dar, former Primelocation and FindaProperty Group marketing director and investor in Homeshift added: “Having built consumer brands in the UK property industry, I can say without doubt what the team at Homeshift is doing is really exciting. The market opportunity is vast and consumers are crying out for one place to manage their home services”.
