Why is she impressive?
A tech innovator, Emily Forbes has created an app which turns consumers into a brand’s own mobile film crew. Harnessing the wealth of footage captured every day by people on their phones, her online video collaboration platform Seenit puts creative control into the hands of fans and employees. This concept has been a big hit with more than 100 businesses, including The BBC, Benefit, Radio 1 and Red Bull Racing, and has won a host of awards including features in the Startups 100 index for two consecutive years and the accolade of ‘London’s hottest start-up’ in the NextTechNow competition. Having recently secured funding and £1.5m turnover forecast for this year, Forbes intends to launch the app in more languages, secure customers in the US, and add five new employees to her team of 10.
