Why is she impressive?
Just 28 years-old, Pip Murray has established an award-winning food brand which is stocked in Selfridges, Ocado, Wholefoods, Sainsbury’s and over 2,000 other big name stores. Having started her eponymous business from a garden shed after gaining inspiration from her love of marathon running, Murray claims to be on set to achieve start-up revenues of £3.3m by the end of 2016 and has extended her nut butter range to include flavours such as coconut, almond, and honey and cinnamon. Last year, the entrepreneur was recognised by Sir Richard Branson as having created one of Britain’s “hottest new food businesses” and won the chance to pitch to buyers at the Target Corporation in the US. Backed by £200,000 in private and equity crowdfunding, Murray is now looking to scale Pip & Nut with European expansion on the cards.
