Netherlands workspace provider Spaces opens first UK site

London opening represents global rollout to US, Australia and other key locations

Netherlands workspace specialist Spaces is to open its first UK location at London’s Mappin House, Oxford Street on June 29.

Founded in Amsterdam in 2008, the company’s latest offering will provide business owners with private and collaborative workspaces -its version of an “un-office” – with its layout designed to encourage networking between businesses and entrepreneurs.

Members of Spaces London will also have access to an on-site coffee shop alongside a programme of business and networking events intended to foster connections and create opportunities.

Access to secretarial staff, business and virtual office support, as well as teleconferencing, mail and print services, will also be provided.

The opening marks the first in a planned phase of global expansion, with new sites set to open in New York, Melbourne and Rotterdam over the next six months.

Martijn Roordink, managing director at Spaces, commented: “People are far more productive and successful in an enjoyable, social and inspiring work environment. This is what Spaces offers.

“While our staff take care of all the day-to-day logistics of the workplace, our members are free to connect and get creative.”
