Jobandtalent completes £2.2m deal led by leading Spanish investors

Investment in London-based international recruitment platform to boost UK market presence

London and Madrid-based recruitment company, jobandtalent has secured £2.2m investment in a funding round led by a group of leading Spanish investors and firms.

Early stage equity fund, Kibo Ventures, co-founder of Tuenti.com, Félix Ruiz and existing shareholder and senior partner at McKinsey & Company, Alfonso Villanueva were amongst those backing the recruitment platform.

Launched in 2009, jobandtalent specialises in matching candidates to job opportunities online through a linguistics-based algorithm that alerts users that are registered, but not actively searching, to relevant vacancies directly to their inbox.

Its service also allows users to import information from Facebook in order to identify connections at a company as well as to obtain referrals and references from contacts.

Currently sourcing candidates from major companies including Accenture, Morgan Stanley and Deloitte, the recruitment company intends to use the new finance to drive further market growth in the UK as well as preparing it for launch in the US and Latin America.

It also plans to utilise the funding to develop its mobile presence.

Co-founder of jobandtalent, Felipe Navio (pictured) commented: “This funding round is a great validation for the company’s shift in focus.

“It will mainly be used to continue improving the accuracy of the matching algorithm, as well as developing native mobile apps that we believe will be a game-changer within the recruitment space.”
