GripIt Fixings founder, Funding Pioneer

Jordan Daykin is the Managing Director of GripIt Fixings, producer of a plasterboard fixings that holds weights of up to 330kgs, allowing people to hang anything on plasterboard walls. The product was created when Jordan and his Grandad were trying to hang a curtain pole and a patent was passed four years later.

Jordan Daykin is Dragons’ Den’s youngest entrepreneur and received a £80,000 investment from Deborah Meaden in August 2014. Three years on, the company is now valued more than £20,000,000 and GripIt is stocked in over 5000 stores across the UK and exported to 32 countries, including South Africa, Australia and New Zealand with plans to soon be stocked the US.

Jordan’s was inspired by his business heroes Deborah Meaden, Duncan Bannatyne and Sir Richard Branson and growing up in a business minded family gave him the confidence to make the leap himself.
