JustPark raises Index investment as parking app to be integrated into Mini cars

Company formerly known as ParkAtMyHouse.com allows users to sell private parking space

JustPark, the Startups 100-listed company which allows its users to list and sell private parking space online, has raised an undisclosed amount from tech investor Index Ventures after it tied up a major partnership with BMW.

Formerly known as ParkAtMyHouse.com, JustPark was founded in 2006 by Anthony Eskinazi and allows users to list and sell unused parking space on their driveways, carparks and elsewhere.

Since launch it has grown steadily to encompass more than half a million users, who can choose from over 100,000 parking spaces across the UK.

Its most popular spaces are around major transport hubs and entertainment centres, with one church in Kings Cross claiming to have made £200,000 from Eurostar travellers looking for a safe place to park.

The tech company announced the JustPark app, already available on iOS devices, will be integrated into BMW Mini in-car dashboards to allow drivers to find and pay for parking space on the move.

The Mini partnership is the first in a planned roll-out across BMW’s entire range, and follows an investment from the car giant’s venture arm i Ventures in 2011.

The amount of Index Ventures funding was undisclosed, but will see partner Robin Klein join the JustPark board following the deal.
