King of Shaves founder launches consultancy service

Will King’s Entrepreneur in Residence Company will offer business owners advice on “how to perform more effectively”

High-profile entrepreneur Will King, the founder of King of Shaves, is to launch a new consultancy service targeted at helping small and medium businesses and  FTSE-listed firms to be “more entrepreneurial”.

The Entrepreneur in Residence Company will give senior executives advice on “how to perform more effectively” by taking inspiration from successful entrepreneurs with a number of high-profile names set to join King in offering advice and coaching.

The new venture marks King’s first business foray since stepping down as CEO of his shaving company in October 2014.

Launched in 1993 using just £15,000 seed capital, King of Shaves is the UK’s second largest shaving brand (as of 2014) with multi-million revenues.

In an interview with Growing Business at the start of last year, King encouraged business owners to think big and concentrate on coming up with “a singularity of product or brand purpose”, ironically he also advised entrepreneurs to listen to themselves and not others; “what do they know?”

Commenting on the launch, King said:

“I’ve learnt a huge amount these past 22 years and discovered a great number of people who really want insight in what it takes to be an entrepreneur and how to behave entrepreneurially.”
