Last chance to enter your business for the Startups Awards 2014

Disruptive early-stage companies have until September 12 to apply to be considered for UK’s leading start-up awards

Exciting UK start-ups launched within the last three years have just a few days left to enter the prestigious Startups Awards 2014; with the deadline for entries on Friday September 12.

Now in its 11th year, the Startups Awards looks to celebrate and identify the country’s most outstanding, innovative new businesses.

Over the years, the awards has amassed an undisputed reputation for unearthing some of the UK’s fastest-growing brands with past winners including Notonthehighstreet.com, Secret Escapes, and Naked Wines.

Sponsored by Simply Business, the awards already looks set to be “bigger than ever” with a high standard of entries received for the 15 award categories on offer including the two new awards for 2014 –Restaurant of the Year and Independent Shop of the Year.

Open to privately-owned UK companies launched on or after August 1 2011, the awards will be judged by 21 leading names from the enterprise space including Paul Lindley of Ella’s Kitchen, Justine Roberts of Mumsnet, Michael Hayman MBE of Seven Hills and StartUp Britain, and Laura Tenison MBE of  JoJo Maman Bébé.

Winners will be announced at a ceremony at the illustrious Kensington Roof Gardens on Thursday 27 November.

Startups.co.uk founder, David Lester, said: “With only days to go until entries close on September 12, now is the time for businesses to act.

“If you are proud of what your business has achieved then take a look – there are a wide variety of categories and the recognition gained from just taking part, let alone winning, is so valuable.

“We aim to make this year’s Awards night the best yet and already the standard of entries is very high. So my advice to anyone thinking of entering is to do so as soon as possible.”
