What’s it like to use?
User-friendly – and what a battery!
The LG V30’s minimalist design is a pleasure to look at, and feels great to hold. It means the On / Off button sticks out less than on other mobiles, but we think you quickly get used to it, and it didn’t slow us down at all.
Some users find a six-inch screen quite a handful. That said, the LG V30 is twice as long as it is wide, making it easy to use even one-handed. Screens of this size are also great for getting your work done or even just watching videos on the go, so it really depends on your preference.
Good call quality
This phone offers an impressive call quality – voices are clear and background noises are kept to a minimum. It’s not quite iPhone level crisp, but for much less money, there’s really very little in it.
A nimble processor
The processor is as fast as you’ll ever need, so you can get your work done, even with several programmes running on the go.
The handy Floating Bar
The LG V30 stands out thanks to its Floating Bar, a quick-access and fully-customisable toolbar that makes it easier than ever to perform key functions like taking screenshots and contacting people.
Useful features like the fingerprint sensor and facial recognition are easy to use, even if you’re a first-timer. On top of that, the LG V30 is still friendly to less tech savvy mobile owners – you can still enjoy plugging in your headphones just like you’ve always used them.
How’s the battery?
37 hours makes it the best battery for phone calls, hands down
Once you try the LG V30, you’ll wonder why Google ever bragged about battery life. No other smartphone even comes close to the 37 call hours you’ll get with the LG V30.
But for regular web browsing, it’s quite standard, giving you around 9.5 hours or two to five hours from a 15-minute charge.
How about the camera?
Dual rear cameras give professional quality shots
The LG V30 is pretty much as close as it gets to a professional-quality camera on the back of a phone. The dual rear cameras (with a generous 16Mp and 13Mp) let you play with depth-of-field and get a crisp zoom, even in low light.
The 4K videos are also impressive, but we think the motions is just a tad less smooth than the iPhone. If you take videos for your work, no doubt you’ll be impressed with the quality, but if you need them to be the best of the best, you may want to look into the iPhone 8 or the iPhone 7.
Is it for me?
Yes, if you’ve a need for speed, business calls and comfortable browsing
The LG V30 is a powerhouse of a phone, and ideal for busy business owners who need a handset they can rely on.

Why does the LG V30 make the Startups Top 10 mobiles?
As you’d expect, it’s not quite up there with flagship phones like the Samsung Galaxy S8 or iPhone 8, but in terms of the functions you’d need for your small business, the LG V30 has it all – and a much more budget-friendly price tag to boot…
