Location data tech firm Blis bags $25m

London-based adtech business will use Series B investment to drive international expansion and product development

Blis, a location data technology company, has secured $25m funding in a Series B round backed by Endeit Capital, Beringea US and Unilever Ventures, alongside additional credit facilities provided by Silicon Valley Bank.

Founded in 2004 by Greg Isbister, London-based Blis provides media and mobile location technology solutions for brand advertisers.

In the last 12 years, the company has scaled to over 50 markets from its eight offices and works with global companies such as Airbnb, Ford and Samsung.

With US-location-targeted mobile ad spend predicted to grow to $26.7bn by 2020, the funding will be used to expand into new markets in the US and to scale its international sales and marketing activities.

It will also look develop its engineering capabilities and new product features.
