Euro Car Parts snaps up rival in a deal made over the weekend


Euro Car Parts, the automotive distributor, has acquired LSUK and its subsidiaries in a deal struck over the weekend.

Euro Car Parts has taken over all of LSUK’s 53 branches, together with subsidiaries M I Diesel Products, Protech Automotive (UK) and Yeovil Rewind, saving 600 jobs. Shaun Darke, LSUK divisional director, said: “As far as I was concerned, despite several parties showing a real interest in LSUK, the company that stood head and shoulders above the rest was Euro Car Parts. “As a demonstration of their commitment and focus on the acquisition of LSUK, they called in over 30 ECP directors, senior managers and advisers. “Everything necessary was actioned over the weekend and the entire acquisition process took no more than 48 hours.” Euro Car Parts chairman Sukhpal Singh believes that the company ‘will offer the automotive trade an unrivalled range of value for money products and specialists skills’ backed by his businesses strong customer service department.
