Mac Tools increases UK presence with new franchisees

The global tool distributor has continued its rapid network expansion with two new recruits in the Leeds and Dorset areas

Andy Harvey and James Weaver are the latest franchisees to join international tool disturber Mac Tools’ network and will be covering their local areas in East Leeds and Poole.

Part of US trade equipment corporation Stanley Black & Decker, Mac Tools has been dramatically increasing its UK presence with year-on-year growth of 25% in the last three years.

The tools distributor wants to continue this recent growth and is offering additional franchise packages to prospective business owners.

Franchise unit costs start at £50,000 (liquid capital £3,750) and includes specialised business and marketing training, initial stock costs and continued support.

New franchisee Harvey, who previously spent 14 years working in BMW motorbike sales in Poole, said he made the move to franchising having “decided to change his working environment”:

“Mac Tools was the stand-out option from the very start and I’m now looking forward to getting out and about and meeting the technicians in my area (Poole) who will be using the Mac Tools that I will be supplying.”
