Mac Tools provides “entrepreneurial freedom” to new franchisees

Two former mechanics are the latest recruits to join the international tool distribution chain as it looks to expand nationwide

Mac Tools has expanded its franchise network with the addition of new franchisees Steve Price and David Bancroft, who have made the move from working as motor technicians to business owners.

The franchisees, who have been “given entrepreneurial freedom”, are now fully trained and have begun operating in their local areas.

The new recruits join Mac Tools’ extensive franchisee network which has witnessed 25% year-on-year growth in the last three years.

Part of US trade equipment corporation Stanley Black & Decker, the franchise brand wants to continue its growth over the coming months and is offering additional franchise packages to aspiring business owners.

Franchise packages start at £50,000 (liquid capital £3,750) which includes specialised business and marketing training, initial stock costs and ongoing support.

Bancroft, who is servicing the Dagenham area, commented:

“Becoming a Mac Man has allowed me to do something I’ve always wanted to do and become my own boss. I have control over my own destiny now and it’s a great feeling being able to look after my customers and give them the service they deserve.”
