New highs for TaxAssist as it ramps up growth in Yorkshire

The accountancy chain is enjoying increased demand for its services with a new franchisee having set up shop while an existing franchise has relocated

TaxAssist Accountants, the UK’s largest network of accountants specialising in the needs of small businesses, has announced two new business milestones as it looks to continue on its franchise growth ascent.

On the back of demand for its services, the accountancy chain has seen its existing franchisee for Barnsley, Nick Brook, relocate his franchise office to a larger, more centrally located office in Yorkshire’s Church Street.

Simultaneously, the franchise brand has welcomed chartered accountant Tony Hall as a new franchisee with an office launch in East Yorkshire town Beverley.

Hall, who has 18 years’ experience advising small and medium-sized businesses decided to join TaxAssist to start his own accountancy practice after deciding “now was the time” to work for himself after years of working for others:

“TaxAssist Accountants has a great reputation and offered me extensive support and training to set up my own practice.”

Established franchisee Brook can pay credit to the great reputation TaxAssist offers and says he has seen “demand continue to grow” from both new businesses starting up to existing small businesses:

“The time was right to move out of the Barnsley Business and Innovation Centre (BBIC) and move into a new shop-front office which will give us the opportunity to grow with it. In fact, on the day we officially launched the shop, we had a potential new client walk in to find out more about our services.”

Started in 1995, TaxAssist is a multi-award-winning franchise with a network of more than 200 franchises across the UK.

It works with small businesses and the self-employed with a turnover of up to £2m and its services include year-end accounts, tax returns, bookkeeping, VAT returns, payroll and cash flow projections – amongst other things.

Franchise packages are available for £36,950 + VAT and this includes bespoke in-house training, access to CCH software, advice on marketing techniques and more.

The chain has also released the results of its franchise survey which shows that the majority of its new franchisees are achieving much better results than first predicted in their business plans.
