New small business logos service recommended by This is Money

Startups' partner design service features in article on bootstrapping your business

Small Business Logos has today been recommended as a service for setting up a business for less than £1,000 in an expert column published by financial website of the year Thisismoney.co.uk, part of Associated Newspapers Limited.

The article, titled ‘Be your own boss in 2012: How to set up a company for less than £1,000‘ was written by Andy Yates, of Huddlebuy, Europe’s largest group buying site for entrepreneurs and businesses.

In the first of Huddlebuy’s weekly columns for This is Money, Yates has recommended using a company formations site, registering a web address, using an online website building tool, and then suggested that new business owners get a bespoke logo designed.

Naming Smallbusinesslogos.co.uk, which was launched by the founder of Startups.co.uk David Lester last month, Yates said: “Small Business Logos – www.smallbusinesslogos.co.uk – is a good starting point. They charge £75 for a simple logo design. I make that £838 left. So far I have set up the company, got a bank account, secured a domain name, built a website and got a logo – for £162. Not bad even if I say so myself.”

Founder of Smallbusinesslogos.co.uk, David Lester commented: “It’s great to be recognised on This is Money. We created the service with small businesses and what they want in mind. Logo design shouldn’t be expensive in this day and age. There’s no reason for not getting a good design for a reasonable price. What makes us different is that we have our own professional designers in-house and are not using logo generators or Clip Art, so these are all bespoke logo designs where we have carefully considered the customer’s brief.”
