DealShare site has been launched by the UK Business Angels Association with goal to become the largest single market for UK angel investments

A new platform has launched which will bring together start-ups with angel investors, private investors and early-stage VC investors; DealShare.

Launched by angel investor trade body UK Business Angels Association (UKBAA) – which represents 15,000 angel investors and 180 organisations – the DealShare site is said to be the first of its kind to enable all types of investors to interact and collaborate online.

Through the platform, powered by JustInvesting’s technology, investors will be able to share opportunities, investment-ready deals, and will look to make investing in fast-growing businesses much more efficient.

With the UK angel investment market worth £1.5bn annually, the UKBAA want the platform to become a hub for angel investing – the goal is to make is the largest single market for angel investments.

UKBAA CEO, Jenny Tooth, commented:

“The angel and early-stage investment market in the UK remains fragmented and geographically patchy with over 60% of the investment capacity focused on London and the South East. JustInvesting offers a strong technology foundation and compliant framework for UKBAA to establish a connected entrepreneurial finance value chain for the UK.”

“The UKBAA DealShare Platform offers an opportunity to build new and dynamic co-investment relationships across regional boundaries to ensure entrepreneurs can access the finance they need to grow their business. The aim is to provide a connected pathway for finance, backing the UK’s entrepreneurs from start-up to scale-up.”
