Opportunity for 10 UK early-stage start-ups to join London tech accelerator programme

Accelerator Academy launches sixth round of enterprising scheme with £150,000 of support up for grabs

London-based start-up programme Accelerator Academy has opened entries for 10 digital and technology businesses to join the sixth semester of its 12-week curriculum.

Now in its second year, the accelerator offers a part-time intensive course which looks to develop and help scale mobile, technology and digital start-ups, typically in their first year of trading, providing a range of mentoring, networking and investment opportunities.

The package also includes access to over £150,000 worth of offers and deals and support from an additional management team.

A host of technology entrepreneurs are participating in the scheme providing advice on areas such as mobile, telecoms, digital marketing and cloud software.

Over five semesters the Academy has already helped 47 UK companies with 71% having secured investment since graduating from the scheme.

The programme will begin on September 23 and aims to follow on from its recent success as Ian Merrick, managing partner of Academy sponsors White Horse Capital, discussed:

“We’re immensely proud of each of the start-ups that have taken part in Accelerator Academy so far and the fact that over 70% of them have already secured investment is a fantastic testament to the work they’ve done at the Academy.

“Our plans for the Academy have always been ambitious and that’s demonstrated by the mentors we connect start-ups with, the sheer number of hours everyone puts in to the programme.

“This is part of a wider system being built to bring start-ups from ‘idea to investment’, and with the initiatives we’re supporting around the pre-accelerator phase and beyond, we’re confident that we can address the funding gap.”

Entries for the Accelerator Academy close on September 15, to apply click here.
