Papa John’s franchisee opens sixth outlet in just few months of joining pizza chain

Pizza brand ramps up expansion in North of England with latest Harrogate opening

Leading pizza chain Papa John’s has celebrated the opening of its latest store in Yorkshire town; Harrogate, the sixth outlet added to Dan Wilkinson’s franchise portfolio.

Wilkinson, who joined the franchise “just a few months ago”, has recently opened an outlet in Durham and has benefitted from four re-sale opportunities; taking over two pizza stores in Aberdeen and two in Liverpool.

An ex-army major, Wilkinson has “ambitious” plans for his franchise career with a “goal to open 10-20 Papa John’s in the North and Scotland over the next few years”, and aims to take further “advantage” of the pizza brand’s “biggest and best 2014 franchise initiatives“.

Wilkinson discussed his franchise ventures: “In order to achieve my business plan, I am currently building up my team of support staff.

“Papa John’s is at such an exciting time in its development and I am really looking forward to helping the brand become a household name in my region.”

Papa John’s business development manager, Anthony Round, added:

“Our franchise team is working closely with Wilkinson to support him.

“Our team help source the right store location, manage the fit-out required and provide marketing both at a local and national level.

“It is this kind of support for our franchisees that is crucial when it comes to both new openings and to maintain brand awareness on an ongoing basis.”
