Papa John’s sees 2014 incentive scheme gain momentum with new Stafford franchisee

Buta Singh Chatha latest recruit to leading pizza franchise

Global pizza chain Papa John’s has extended its market reach with the opening of a franchise outlet in Stafford, run by new franchisee partner Buta Singh Chatha.

Unveiled this month by Stafford mayor, Angela Loughran, with a “pizza party” for local residents, the new store has received £200,000 investment and is set to create 25 new jobs.

Chatha, the nephew of serial Papa John’s franchisee Tony Singh, marks the latest recruit to join the pizza brand following its recently launched “biggest and best” franchise incentive scheme for 2014.

Building on the pizza chain’s strategy to grow its UK network, the scheme offers new franchisees, opening stores in Wales, the Midlands, North East, the North West and Scotland, 12 and nine month royalty breaks if they open outlets before the year-end.

As part of the incentive deal, new franchisees will also have access to free oven and refrigerator equipment, royalty holiday and £10,000 worth of marketing spend.

Papa John’s business development manager, Anthony Round, commented: “We are delighted to welcome Buta Singh Chatha to the Papa John’s franchise team,

“We are managing a programme of expansion and are looking for enthusiastic franchisees to help us open new outlets across the UK.  We also have some exciting incentive deals on offer.”
