Papa John’s signs former Shell franchisee to open up five UK outlets

Franchise couple Abhishek and Kaniva Sachdeva are latest recruits to take up chain’s new incentive scheme for 2015

Pizza chain Papa John’s has successfully recruited husband-and-wife duo Abhishek and Kaniva Sachdeva as its newest franchisees with a new store St Helens.

A former franchisee for Shell, Abhishek and his partner now plan to open up four additional outlets across the North West over the next 18 months.

Having been “regular customers” of the pizza franchise over the years, the Sachdeva’s took up the franchise opportunity as they “believe in the brand” and claim to have had a “high footfall right from the first day of opening”.

One of the largest pizza companies in the world, Papa John’s now has more than 280 franchise stores in the UK and is looking to expand further with several franchise vacancies available.

It has recently launched its 2015 incentive scheme which offers new franchises in the Midlands, the North West, the North East and Scotland the opportunity to benefit from discounted royalty fees, contribution towards marketing spend and free store equipment.

Commenting on his Papa John’s franchise experience so far, Abhishek said: “Setting up was made as straight forward as possible with help from Papa John’s staff and all the training provided was excellent.

“Our staff got a head-start, accessing the company’s online learning system and this was followed up with 10 days in-store with a Papa John’s dedicated trainer.

“The company has a solid growth strategy and we are very much looking forward to being part of that expansion.”
