Newcastle-based business counts the likes of Google, British Airways and Santander as customers

Performance Horizon, a Newcastle-based digital marketing business, has announced the completion of a $15.4m Series C funding round led by the Greycroft Growth fund alongside existing investors Mithril and DN Capital.

Started in 2010, Performance Horizon provides software that enables brands to connect with marketing partners to increase customer acquisition and boost their revenues from online marketing channels.

It works with advertisers, partners and agencies to help grow their businesses, improve efficiency and increase profitability, using real-time data to inform decision making.

The company has offices in the UK, the US, Japan and Australia and claims to drive more than $3bn in revenues across 155,000 marketing partners in more than 170 countries.

100-strong Performance Horizon now has a client base of more than 100, including major global brands like Google, British Airways, Santander, Marriot, KLM, Burberry and Expedia.

Malcolm Cowley, CEO of Performance Horizon, said: “Enterprises are investing heavily in performance marketing technology as a way to efficiently increase their digital sales and maximize their marketing budgets.

“By leveraging our global technology and services platform, our customers can rapidly build out revenue-generating partnerships around the world. This financing allows us to invest even faster in this huge market opportunity and execute on the next phase of our vision.”

Ian Sigalow, partner at Greycroft Partners, commented: “We have seen huge tailwinds behind digital partner marketing in our own portfolio of e-commerce companies as well as within the world’s largest enterprises.

“In the last five years, Performance Horizon has positioned itself very well as the only provider that can really serve large, global enterprises through a highly scalable SaaS solution.”
