Peter Jones CBE awards £5,000 to 21 year-old coaching entrepreneur

Kamal Hyman of Aim a Little Higher was awarded the prize at Peter Jones Enterprise Academy's National Entrepreneur of the Year event

Peter Jones CBE has awarded £5,000 to 21 year-old young entrepreneur Kamal Hyman at Peter Jones Enterprise Academy’s National Entrepreneur of the Year event.

The founder of motivational speaking business Aim a Little Higher, Hyman scooped the prize ahead of five finalists after pitching his idea to Dragons’ Den star Jones and a panel of judges.

A former youth MP and Olympic torchbearer, Hyman plans to use the finance to expand his company – which delivers talks and workshops in schools and colleges across the UK – with the goal to take his business model to schools in the US.

Second place went to Daniel Arundel who was given £1,000 to put towards his company Arundel Bakery.

Hyman commented: “It feels absolutely amazing to have been chosen as the winner. A year of hard work and focus has paid off and it shows what can be achieved with the right attitude.

“I have a passion for changing lives and I believe that my business helps to solve problems such as lack of self-belief and confidence in today’s youth. I understand their issues and can help boost their future employability and develop their student brand.”
