Pimlico Plumbers founder Charlie Mullins on his strong work ethic [Video]

Helping a local plumber at nine years old sowed the seeds of future success

Speaking to Startups in this video, Pimlico Plumbers founder Charlie Mullins explains the genesis of his strong work ethic, explaining that it started when he was just nine years old.

“When I was at school, I used to help a local plumber called Bill Ellis,” the entrepreneurial plumber recalls. “That’s where the seeds were sown.”

Mullins explains that prior to this, he would run errands for all the local shops, from the greengrocers to the Laundromat – “just anything to get money”, as he puts it. “I think people that start work at a young age, it leads on,” he explains. “You’ve always worked, and you’re going to continue to work quite hard, because of the obvious achievements you can get from it.”
