printed.com launches direct mail design competition in partnership with Centrepoint

Designers challenged to create promotional design for new charity widget

Online digital printing firm printed.com has developed a competition in partnership with charity for young homeless people Centrepoint.

Launched today, the competition offers young designers the chance to design a piece of direct mail to promote Centrepoint’s new money donation widget.

Named Give As You Live, the downloadable widget enables shoppers to automatically donate to the charity with every online purchase.

Entrants are invited to create an A5-sized design to promote the widget, with the best designer winning the opportunity to have their work distributed to 5,000 UK recipients, courtesy of Printed.com.

Nick Green, CEO of printed.com claims that he is happy to support the charity, which has helped homeless people aged 16-25 since 1969. His firm is set to donate £5 for every widget that is downloaded as a result of the competition for the first 2,000 downloads.

He commented: “Creativity is a passion for our business so I am looking forward to seeing the designs that the competition attracts from the UK’s best young design talent.

“Centrepoint’s work is also very close to my heart so the fact that we will be supporting the charity’s exemplary work with young homeless people is an incredibly positive thing.”
