Promedica24 doubles franchise network with six new franchisees

Former lawyer, teacher and sales director among those that have left their jobs to join the chain and “challenge the outdated UK care scene”

Six budding entrepreneurs from a variety of backgrounds – including teaching, law and sales – have left their jobs to become franchisees for live-in care chain Promedica24.

Ron Young, Mira Balac, Tahira Rahman, Brett Norman, Juhaina Junaid and Nick Pope all hope to “challenge the outdated UK care scene” by joining the franchise and will commence operations across the UK in areas such as Leeds North, Harrogate, York, and Newcastle.

Established in Germany in 2004 and launched in the UK in May 2015, Promedica24 claims to be Europe’s largest provider of live-in care services, offering 24 hour services as an alternative to residential care homes with a workforce of over 5,000 care staff.

The chain has franchise packages available for a “low investment level” of £15,000 +VAT and says that new franchisees can expect to make a good return; its current UK franchise network generate turnover in excess of £4m.

On becoming a franchisee, Brett Norman, who will head up the Leeds North branch, said: “When I found the Promedica24 franchise, it really resonated with me. Here was a company doing things right; offering people a chance to live at home and be treated with respect.”

Dan Archer, Promedica24 director, continued:

“Our core values are about empowering people be able to live with independence and dignity. It’s what we would all want for our own families and I believe it’s why the business is growing as quickly here in the UK as it did 10 years ago in Germany and Poland.

“I’m delighted to welcome another six passionate franchisees to our family and I’m excited about where their businesses will take them.”
