Company description: Property website for private renters
Tell us what your business does: is a property website with a search facility for renters to find their next rental home privately. We provide all landlords with that much needed platform to advertise to tenants across London, without agents and free of charge!

Where did the idea for your business come from?

Working in a city lettings agent, I found that tenants were not keen on the high agency fees and would prefer to go direct to the landlord and vice versa. I wanted to create a place where landlords could advertise directly to tenants.

How did you know there was a market for it?

We were losing business as tenants were finding properties to rent directly from the landlord. However, when quizzing them further, they found the search difficult. was launched to simplify that process.

What were you doing before starting up?

Prior to starting up, I was working for a nationwide property company.

Have you always wanted to run your own business?

Always. Seeing my dad start his business from scratch was a huge inspiration for me. The thought of being able to wake up and work on something you’ve created and watch it grow is very gratifying.

How did you raise the money?

From my own savings and a close angel investor.

Building a website for your business idea is easier than you might think. Our online tool ranks the top website builders that offer free trials.
What challenges have you faced and how have you overcome them?

The biggest challenge is marketing the brand and getting our name out there. Online marketing is a continual process, so by constant social media marketing and exploring new avenues hopefully we can continue to capture the necessary audience.

How much do you charge?

Right now, it is free for landlords to advertise their properties!

What was your first big breakthrough?

The time when the first property was uploaded onto our site! It gave us hope and the knowledge that landlords actually like the idea and will use our site.

What advice would you give to budding entrepreneurs?

Research loads and be prepared to work at 110%. Starting a business requires a lot of hard work and long hours. Also, perseverance is key!

Where do you want to be in five years’ time?

We would like to have covered the London area and have launched the brand nationwide.
